About Askadvocates.in
Askadvocates.in is an India-focused directory of verified advocates and a platform where users can ask paid questions and book consultations. We are built strictly inside the carve-out to Bar Council of India Rule 36 (2008 amendment): advocates list factual information, and we run an information service that users pay for.
What we offer
- Free, factual directory.Advocates list at no cost: name, BCI enrolment, areas of practice, courts they appear before, languages, contact. No paid placement, no "featured" tier, no ranking we sell.
- User-side paid Q&A.Users pay the platform for a written answer from a verified advocate within 24 hours, 6 hours, or 1 hour. We split the user's payment with the responding advocate.
- Consultation bookings.Video, phone, or in-person appointments. The advocate's professional fee is paid directly to them; the platform charges a flat ₹100 service fee for the booking technology.
- Educational content. Practice-area guides, a glossary of Indian legal terms, blog articles by advocates and our editorial team, court directories, and links to Bare Acts.
What we do not do
- We do not advertise on behalf of any advocate.
- We do not sell subscription tiers, "featured" slots, or pay-per-lead packages.
- We do not display testimonials, star ratings, or win rates.
- We do not provide legal advice.
Languages
At launch we serve English and Hindi. We are adding Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam in our next phase, then Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Urdu, and eventually the full Eighth Schedule.
